Early Recovery Group provides a route back from relapse and risk

Often patients recovering from drug or alcohol abuse may get overconfident following inpatient treatment or Intensive Outpatient Treatment. In this video, Brighton Hospital Counselor Pat Schafer, LMSW describes an outpatient program called the Early Recovery Group, which is of potential benefit to patients who may have become lax in going to 12 step meetings, working with their sponsor, avoiding old friends with whom they used to use drugs, and other triggers for relapse. The Early Recovery Group is located in Oakland County, Michigan, at the Brighton at the Corners satellite on Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield. This is truly a way back after relapse for individuals in early recovery who have experienced relapse and want to learn the skills to come back and stay in recovery and work the 12 step program to remain in recovery.
