So darkness' laugh at the end of the movie is a good clincher, because after all, darkness will have the last laugh in our universe it seems. :-)

Interesting how close our narrative stories of creation really do come close to the real deal.
Long ago before such a thing as time- prebig bang
Then came light (big bang-energy) which brought illumination, space, time, matter, and inexorably life...and love.
Darkness has been banished to the abstract concept of "dark" space...and it indeed, unconciously of course, is going to regain it's power over creation over many trillions of years when the cosmos either rips, burns out or chills off.

I love this music it rules like no tomorrow !!!

It's sad that in the new release the score was changed completely. Sorry but fuck the extra scenes.... I miss the captivating magic of the original score.

I agree. If they were they were to enhance it they should have used the music from Tangerine Dream. It sounded so much better. The music itself had a sense of magic and power that has not been seen since The Lord Of The Rings. Even with that movie Legend holds so much more splendor and elegance than most fantasy movies has to offer. This was truly one of a kind. Tangerine Dream helped to make it as such.

@zenmachinefilms I have to agree with ya. Love Tangerine Dream version. The one i remember as kid.

Yes, totally agree... tangerine dream makes the movie much more mystical. This movie was a legend!

@zenmachinefilms I grew up on TD and when I heard Goldsmith's I felt like I was watching a different movie because it seemed "out of place" or something. Glad I'm not the only one!

Too bad you can't get the full version of the movie with this version of the soundtrack. You either pick the butchered versions with this soundtrack or the super long version with goldsmiths soundtrack. I have the blu-ray version of this movie, so glad i bought it.

Where's the narrated intro?
Am I the only one who likes TD's score to this film better than Jerry Goldsmith's?
Don't get me wrong, I love Goldsmith, he truly was the maestro. I just think this is TD's best score, and it fit the film perfectly.

This movie was like a dream the first time I saw it. LOVE 80’s fantasy. Nothing like em!
