I will make your life much easier and tell you you can just click on a door/window to open it and go through it. You don't have to click OPEN or MOVE the majority of the time. :)

In the mac version i think you wanted to keep things in your coat pocket so you save inventory space. I remember you did need the money out because if you run into the mugger the second time and fiddle with you coat he shoots you.
