UW QB Jake Locker is penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct after scoring what appeared to be the tying touchdown against BYU. #84 Jan Jorgensen completely penetrates the defensive line to block the extra point try and BYU wins 28-27

  • I agree 100%, which is why I posted the video of Colle -- to illustrate the absurdity of the claim that Collie somehow "spiked" the ball

  • I've added a video response with Austin Collie's "spiking" of the ball between his legs.

  • You are so biased on this issue, you realize. It was a bad judgement. End of story. The rule is still there, but it needs to be reviewed. You go about your business like you have all the answers, but you fail to see the severity of the call. Good job looking at the obvious facts buddy!

  • Do you not recognize your own bias? Are you that obtuse?

  • Comments with vulgarity and/or religious bigotry will be deleted. Bad call? No. Bad rule? Maybe. They are separate questions; let's not muddle the issue.

  • First of all, I'm a die hard alum of the UW and I played in the band. I hate this call. It ruins the flavor of what makes college football better than the NFL. I understand that they have to make that call. Locker clearly threw the ball a good 10 ft in the air. A rule is a rule. The flag was correct. The rule however needs to be removed as it was totally inappropriate.

  • I think if Locker would have thrown the ball during the entire ballgame as well as he did after scoring that touchdown UW might have won.

  • no matter who is to blame, just judging by the call i think we can all agree it is a sack of shit rule.

  • sure they blocked the shit out of the 35-yarder, but honestly, there's such a huge difference between a 35 yarder and a regular PAT, even in terms of blocking. no doubt it should have gone into overtime.

  • "wasn't in anybody's face" it hit Locker in the head RETARD!

  • then again against UCLA in the next game. 3 Blocks in four games doesn't scream "purely in the hands of the officials to me. Great video.

  • WOW. I really, really hate commentators like that. 1-2-3-4-5 seconds before it comes back and hits him in the head. "Purely in the hands of the officials" I stopped saying that when I was 11. "PAT team collapsed completely"??? Your team won't 'collapse' because of THAT penalty call in these situations. I could say they "collapse"d under pressure, but really there's nothing they can do against BYU there. They did it two games before against UCLA (also the year before) and then

  • No wonder he was penalized, the ball took a while for it to come back down. But we all know he didn't really throw it. It was more of a toss. Not his fault he has such a monstrous arm.

  • bad call, refs like to get themselves on tv

  • I am a BYU fan and I have to say that was a bad call. The kick being blocked had nothing to do with any other then they did a crapy blocking job and BYU was able to get to it.

  • Well, it doesn't matter since "The Quest" ultimately failed

Hey, the local bakery called. They've offered Max Hall a job making "Turnovers"

  • Ok, look at your record this year, and then look at the rule, and would being fifteen yards back stop the Cougs from blocking it?
