  • that cannon is doing squat.....that spray evaporates....hit the base of the source

  • ... my guess is the steam is positioned so- to extinguish sparks and burning debris which could spread fires to adjacent, down-wind structures...

  • one deck gun that we can see that's like pissing on an out of control wildfire

  • There were a total of 6 master streams on this fir. that was the first arriving engine.

  • I live up on the top of the bluff in the opposite direction of the way the smoke was traveling. I was very grateful that it did not come in our direction.

  • We are only seeing one angle on the fire, but it is a VERY lonely master stream. Wind is defeating the stream before it even hits the fire. But I'm sure it looked great on the evening news...
