This is a short video showing the top of my first worm bin. You'll see worm castings on top. The top bedding is then covered by a whole dry newspaper. The dry newspaper absorbs the excess moisture. I then replace the newspaper with a dry one.
Anyway, the African Nightcrawlers in my bin have been depositing worm castings on top of the bedding. I think the behavior is a little different from Red Wigglers because the latter deposit their worm castings at the bottom of the bin (or so I've read).
