  • Lovely!

  • P.S.Read first post

... I lost my beret 20 minutes before the parade (fell out of my pocket). I was not a happy bunny, but the march changed that pronto, a day I will never forget.

  • Just came across this video in doing some research. You may notice one person without a beret, carrying a banner, that's me. The reason I was marching was to represent my squadron, The Westminster Dragoons, who landed on Gold beach, part of the 79th Armoured Div in flail tanks, (Hobarts funnies). I did feel slightly uneasy for the first few minutes marching as I wasnt a Normandy vet (not even born), but then felt very proud to honour my squadron, but prouder still to march with the veterans.

  • Thanks for uploading your vids, really interesting!

  • Nice movie. Thank you for posting. Unique.

  • It is nice to know that we men and woman tried.

    Best to all of you.
