  • My Dad (RIP) was a Jamaican and while he loved Bob Marley and Big Youth he fell in love with this music and I still have the album. He eventually ended up in NewYork and came to visit us in 1973(UK), straight from Heathrow with the white suit, Black Caesar style hat, this Album and cigar.

  • I found the 45 for this today for $3. It immediately found a home ; )

  • @salsburysteakjr Heard that version on Bob Dylans theme tune radio hour, thats how I know the song....and the intro is so much better on that version!

  • Powerful backing band, meanwhile Brown shouts his soul out. The production is an A++++ .

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMES BROWN!

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN this song is bad! That ain't no jive, sucka!

  • @salsburysteakjr Try the soundtrack compilation 'Funk on Film' man released on Galen Records, that version is 5.25 minutes long and it smokes!

  • @salsburysteakjr no shit, the intro is way akward sounding without the rest of the words.

  • Anybody heard the longer version of this? Can't seem to find it through youtube. The opening spoken intro is way longer, among other things. If you've heard it you'd prefer it to this edition.

  • @jacobawesome Hes not lying retard
