Dear Brother,
I have seen you video, and really appreciate for this. I will be very much obliged to you, if you kindly help me to know - what do I need for 1(one) Kw system for my house. Kindly note I am living in Karachi, Pakistan.
Waiting for your kind reply please.
Kind regards.
Your faithfully,

You might want to add a VERY important piece of equiptment....unless you want to destroy your inverter and burn down your house! A fuse at the positive battery terminal is a needed item!

Most single panels are 180 watts. Considering i don't know the exact specs on these panels remember it just an estimate.

I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas....

wow that sounds really loud! You should in case the generator in some kind of sound reducing material. And you should put a muffler on that as well :-) I have a gas generator in my garage for emergencies, and when I'm running it you can hardly hear it about 10 feet away. But I have it and closed in a sound muffling enclosure.
Hope he used a MPPT charge controller! It is designed for the smaller PV arrays and helps to get every bit of "juice" out of the panels! Up to 30% more output! Not more than the panel is rated, but more efficiently extracting the wattage from the panel! The old kind of charge controllers are not that efficient!

Yes, we used Phocos MPPT 100/20 Solar Charge Controller. (MPPT stands for "Maximum Power Point Tracker")

Great video! So i imagine 1 panel is about 150 watts or so. I too am curious how much it can power.
