Motorized Blackout Shades

This is a conference room at a Cancer Center in San Diego. The job was originally specified with 8 motorized shades and we changed it to 3 shades instead. This helped make the room darker for presentations and overall a better look. The drawback was we needed to seam the fabric due to the overall width. The seams are minimized and lined up with the window mullions so you cannot see all of them from the outside.

We used a Somfy RTS Altus 50 Motor and tied it into a Lutron Graphic Eye automation system with a Somfy 16 Channel Automation Interface. We also gave them an override with a 5 channel RTS hand held remote.
