if not Kreiner, then why Twain? why not the drunk at the bar then...if it's about bringing communities together they should have passed by the bars on a sat night...now that would have brought the community together. I argue that the olympic movement is only a vehicle and I bet all the athletes would argue that too.

Love Shania Twain, she did so much for school children in part of Canada, she was a great choice. I never forget her story growing up poor in Timmins, took care of her brother and sisters, what a great story. God Bless you Shania!

enough with the Kreiner comments... they are not "entitled" to anything... just because they are athletes.... people miss completely that the torch relay is not about sport at all but is actually about bringing COMMUNITIES together THROUGH LIGHT (which happens to be the Olympic Flame). Educate yourself about what the Olympic movement is REALLY about and you'll realize sport is only a vehicle!

I agree. Although I do like Shania, she was not the best choice to represent Canada and Carry the torch.

What a great representative for Canada, She becomes famous and moves out of the country. Someone like Laurie Kriener should have done this. She won gold and has worked hard in Timmins.
