Please notice, not all ECO DECT phones, that are on the market right now, are low radiation wireless phone!
*************************************************************
DECT Phones have been on the market for years and years and all this time they have been radiating electromagnetic radiation. When you buy them nobody warns you about this issue. The salesman will tell you that they are very good, clear sound, excellent reception and all within standards and regulations. What they don't tell you is that DECT phones radiate 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you mistakenly put them next to your bedside or on your office table, it can be very problematic. Now ECO DECT is being introduced into the market. Working in ECO mode it tries to save electricity by reducing the time which the base station transmits (radiation) to the handset. This fact neros the time that the ECO DECT phone radiates on you and your close ones. In some of the ECO DECT phones that are sold today, this option needs to be setup and is available only if there is one headset configured. I think ECO DECT phone, as every cordless phone, are bad (radiating into your brain while talking) but they are not as bad as regular DECT phones, which radiate even when you are not using them

  • It looks like the ECO mode PLUS is not available for the Gigaset phones in the US. Only the ECO DECT mode is available.

Can you please tell us how much the base station radiates when it is in ECO DECT mode only, and not in the PLUS mode? Thank! :)

  • @NoRadBlog Thank you for your excellent information. Is there an ECO Dect Plus phone available in the US?

  • @Johnjoseph456

    HI

    Thanks for your comment

No As far as I know there is no ECO DECT PLUS Phone in the US

You can buy it in Europe when you travel or you can get a RF meter and look for old (not DECT) phones that does not emit RF EMR all the time.

    I hope this helps.

  • @NoRadBlog I emailed a store in europe to get the siemens phone you like, they told me that the europe version of the phone will not work in the US. Is that what you have found? I would be happy to pay extra shipping to get the siemens phone sent from europe if I knew that it would work here. What do you think?

  • @Johnjoseph456

    HI

I think it would work but not with all the features.

But I think costom services will not let it into the country.

    You can always try.

    Sorry I could not help

     YEP!

  • @NoRadBlog With the Siemens handsets you can even enable ECO and ECO+ modes at the same time to reduce transmission power when in use, and shut down transmission completely when not in use.

HI and thanks for your question.

As far as I know Panasonic does not have a "no radiation on standby phone". What they do have are many models of DECT 6.0 Plus phones that are not low radiation.

I hope this answer your question.

The Panasonic phones have what they call "DECT Plus", but I'm not sure it's the same feature as what you're referring to (no RF when not in use). Do you know? Maybe it tells on their website and I missed it. If so, it has both of those features.

Too bad I can't put the link here.
