Computer Lines On The Screen

Hello everybody, a few days ago my dad suprised with a new computer with the following specifications:

1- Intel Quad Core (@2.83GHZ)
2- ATI Radeon 4850(512MB)
3- 4GB of Ram
4-Digital LCD 22-Inch Screen (LG Flatron W2252TQ)
5- Windows Service Pack 2 (Windows XP) 32-Bit System

PROBLEM:
I've been getting these random white lines everytime I use my computer for less than an hour, I chat with my friends online, go to iTunes and listen to music, and play games like (SIMS 2, FSX)

COPYRIGHT:
I do not own the song in the video clip. But I have bought "Radio Christine - The Virgins" with my iTunes Account so please Youtube do not delete or reject this video this is extremely important I need you're help ! and I.T professionals help too !

UPDATE: I had taken the computer to a computer shop where they installed the operating system, I will let you know what happened!

SOLUTION:
There was a problem with the Opearting System and with the graphic card's drivers, anyways I installed Windows Vista Home Premuim and then updated the graphic card's driver, anyways everything is working fine and good! =D Thxs to everybody who helpt !
