@ban15ed Nice connection. I feel the same way. Reminds me of Debussey and Satie.

Gotta love that double bass!

hell... such a beautiful piece... i dont know about the rest of the people, but i get to relate this like when being inside a car in a rainy night while being kind of depressed, not driving but only watching the other cars and their lights passing at a constant speed...

Also, who could possibly dislike this video?

I wish there were more happy apple videos on youtube

The climax sounds like Clair de Lune to me - with drums and bass. Phenomenal.

The question that has to be asked is what is jazz? It encompasses so many things its quite hard to tell. If most people refer to jazz as in the be-bop style then yes this simply is not jazz, however the influence of jazz in this music is quite a bit. The lines that distinquish what type of music your talking about these days are fuzzy. How about we simply call it music. An organization of sounds and silences that transcend all other forms of communication and speak to everyone's souls.

@boxfactoryband He uses some pretty battered and cracked cymbals just to get different sounds out of them. Dave will use anything and everything to bring new sounds to his kit, up to and including his baby daughter's toys. :) True story!

one of my favorites of theirs...epic, magnificent, triumphant...just breathtakingly beautiful!

I think some people is right about "the bad plus". That's not jazz. There we have nice jazz musicians having fun with rock-like structures. With all that amazing technique, with the knowledge of jazz instrumentation... with that huge sensitivity, making us explode even in their softest tunes... what then? isn't it just great?
