One example: Lets imagine there are 1000 drink companies and 4 companies control 80% of the market. Now lets imagine that using only the data from the 996 smaller companies you see a lot of grow in drink industry, but the big ones are doing very bad. Look at this example 80% of the industry is getting better but 4 ones that are doing bad sell so much that if they are going bad alot of insdustry profits are going bad.
Independent music is way better than music in the past. Only big labels music is going down. But they are a extreme % of total music sold and so people think that music is dying.
@Styphelus new genres are being created, people change taste in music, some others dont know shit about music and only listen to the tracks that are out on the radio, new artists have no chance of surviving , record labels do not sign artists by their talent but by how many fans they got and how much money will they bring...once again, Its all about the money.
Music today is not even worth downloading for free. It's terrible. Just turn on the radio today. Every song sounds the same and they are bad. Who wants to listen to bad music? That is the real problem with the music industry.
After all these years one of my songs on you tube under Leif johnsen I play all instruments and write all lyrics and have many more thankyou also check out mrhollywood00010001 for other creative things I do
