I miss Andre and Todd a lot. Two fantastic players. And Todd was indeed one of the best sportsmen the sport has seen.

@JoeyFudd 2001 was pretty good for Andre too...won Indian Wells, Miami, Los Angeles, Aussie Open champ (2nd in a row), Wimbledon semis (should've been finals if not for a couple of questionable calls against Rafter), FO quarters (last American male to make it that far) and an all-time epic QF at the US Open with Sampras

Andre's best years: 1990, 1992, 1994, 1999, 2000.
His best ever: 1999, the year this was played.

God the world was so much better back then...the shot of the World Trade Center was tough to watch...those were the days...it all changed 9/11/01...

Nobody have the whole match or the highlights of this final?

Man Todd Martin was one step away from beating Agassi. I remeber that final.Excuse my French but he fucking choked. What kinda sportsman is that

Todd Martin was a warrior and he was such an under-appreciated player because he played in the era when Agassi, Sampras, Courier, and Chang were the American stars. Martin was certainly my favorite player. He exuded such class and humility. The guy always seemed to be playing 5 set matches and he would always leave it all out there on the court. Tennis was a better sport because of Todd Martin.
one of my greatest memories in sports...Andre Agassi is a legend and his tennis story is never to be duplicated...i've never seen a player fall further and pick themselves back up and fight all the way back to the top

Couldn't have said it better. Andre Agassi truly is one of a kind. Never will there be anyone quite like this man,
