Part 1 of 2
The magic and mystique of Mount Panorama is something very powerful and so too is the Bathurst 1000, a race that has been in the forefront of the Australian sports psyche since 1963. Modern day television brings all the drama and action to the armchair viewer, but there's an era of the race that has sadly disappeared.
From 1963 to 1983,the race was captured on 16mm film bringing to life an era of racing that seemed more carefree than the world we live today. This documentary delves into this bygone era, featuring interviews with Phil Judd and Phil Heywood, two of the many people who contributed to a classic era of Australian film and motor racing.
