Undercover Chicago police harass and arrest cyclist

Broadway and Barry (East Lakeview)
8/30/2009, around 6 pm

A little background: Before the video starts, the undercover cop car threw its lights on and came flying down Broadway. The cyclist was oblivious until they pulled up beside him. Words were exchanged, and shortly thereafter they ran him off the road and into the back of the parked car on the right side of the frame (also a cop car, incidentally).

After a brief exchange (he was respectful and wondered, along with all the other bystanders, why he was being harassed), they cuffed him, sat him in the back, threw his bike in the trunk and drove off.

I was told by witnesses that the cyclist had allegedly spit on a cop car (possibly this one) while riding further south on Broadway. Still, this seems like a far-over-the-top response to something so trivial.

this video shows nothing, its the police talking to someone in the back seat and then leaving, and then a whiny high pitch narrator creating whatever story he wants around it. there was no point in watching this. You should go play IAD somewhere else, and keep your lame and boring videos on your cell phone - your wasting everyones time on youtube with your title. It should read "cops talk to someone in back seat of their car and leave, and then I whine a little at the end". Now thats a title

First of all they're not undercover cops. If they were UC you would never know. They are plain clothes/unmarked officers. You don't know what that guy did, for all you know he could have had a warrant for his arrest, they saw him and picked him up. Flaming libtards need to find a better hobby then taping the police all the time, I swear.
