SAFE! SAFE! SAFE! SAFE!!!!

No. If it were severe enough to crush you, your aorta would sever from your heart flying into your chest in a car with little crumpling.
-
Why don't the both of u just shut the hell up!!!! Does it really matter. U both proably use public trans anyway. Cocksuckers!!!

Exactly. Minimal crumpling is best. I'd rather have whiplash than die from being squished to death in a crumpled car. And face it, every car crumples in a real impact. They may not be meant to, but even old, heavy, solid framed cars will crumple somewhat upon a serious impact.
-
If the shell of the car doesn't crumple, the decelerative forces are directly transferred to the bodies of the people inside -- and they are smashed on to the interior and other occupants, or crushed by the restraints that prevent that movement. It is a trade-off as to which is the LESSER DANGER. If the car is big enough, it's shell collapse that works best. With smaller cars it's greater rigidity, and take your chances with the air bags.
-
I repeat, have you ever been in an accident? Yes, crumple absorbs impact, but cars these days crumple so much that they trap people inside, break their bones, and sometimes kill them. Where did you get YOUR education? Car companies and the media? Sturdy cars with minimal crumpling in a major accident will do what? Give you whiplash? That's better than being dead or crippled for life from a car that crumpled.

crumple is very very bad that car doesnt crumple because they have speacial crumpling bars so that it doesnt take damage
No. Crumpling saves people. Where did you get your education... home schooling!?

Minimal crumpling means your body takes the blunt of the impact. If a well engineered car crumples enough to trap you inside, you'd die instantly in a steel tank.
