Nice gadget! Thanks for sharing, convenient indeed!

@Howardv. Thanks for the info. Something you might like, unless you've already done it. On the top of the accord air vent unit, close to the winshield theres a black plug you can pop out. Since the alpine cable is too long on both ends to fit through the hole, use a razor to make a small slice in the front of the hole so you can slide the cable in sideways. Looks pretty clean, and didn't have to make any big holes or modifications to the cars interior (just stuck the head unit to the dash).

@Howardv Yes that is the one. Thanks!! I was going nuts trying to figure it out.

I finally ordered one of these, I had purchased a Clarion head unit with blue-tooth and USB but it was VERY buggy and I sent it back. I get decent sound out of my stock Ford radio so I am using the Fm Direct modulator so it will be directly sent to the radio. Hopefully sound quality will be decent. I am sure it will be good for the $15 I paid for it, it was $25 + $15 shipping and I had $25 in Ebay bucks so $15 total. I am using an Evo 4g running Froyo 2.2 so it should work like your Droid.
Came across this video by accident, very good demo. I have almost the exact same setup, 06 Honda Accord with CD changer to Aux > alpine ex-10 > same moto droid. Did you experience problems with the audio from the aux out of the apline unit? I get noticable noise when using bluetooth which is only worse when the car is running.

@dejadreamer Yup, got the engine noise too. To solve it, buy an "RCA Ground Loop Isolator". This took all the noise away. You can get one online or from Radio Shack.

@mrmontebuilder It's called Walkabout by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I think that's the one you're talking about.

Can I ask how good is the sound quality for phone calls and how you hardwired it in? I was looking at pictures of this and the power connector looks to be for a lighter plug and I assume the fm transmitter is built in( I do not need the fm transmitter) so I am guessing you just used the extension cable and cut the wires? Thanks for any help with this!!!

@mrmontebuilder One more note: There were alot of bugs when my Droid was running under 2.1. Froyo (version 2.2 of Android) fixed TONS of bugs. So I don't recommend this to any Droid users who don't have the Froyo update.
