Scott and Lucys Story

This series tells the true stories that would be any travellers worst nightmare - when a holiday in paradise becomes a journey into hell that ends up in prison abroad.

Through graphic dramatic reconstruction, each film tells the story of someone whos been arrested and thrown into a foreign prison. It could be for smuggling drugs, falling foul of local corrupt policemen or for being duped into carrying illegal goods through customs. In all cases, the films follow the sinking sense of horror from the build up to the moment of arrest, their journey through an incomprehensible legal process, the coming to terms with the details of life in a hellhole jail, and the devastating fall out with their family and friends.

Lucy Baker and Scott Campbell were living their dream. Working little and playing hard in Ibiza for the summer season, neither wanted the party to end so when the party moved on, so did they but it wasn't long before they were heading for broke. Out of luck and out of money, the offer of the holiday of a lifetime and a healthy reward at the end seemed just too good to be true All they had to do was bring back a little cannabis into Amsterdam, where was the risk in that?

  • This show really keeps you on the straight and narrow. When you are a young starving student or anyone else who needs money, the temptation to make some quick money can sound perfect. This show lets you know how it really is and not the glamorous quick buck predators like to con you into thinking. If it is so easy, risk free and lucrative, why aren't they doing it themselves?

Kindly help me riddle this, would you, bro?

So, in a nutshell, Megavideo got shut down because they hurt YouTube feelings by calling YouTube out on a false DMCA claim and were in the right?

Am I wrong in thinking that that is the only reason for the seizure? I mean, c'mon Megavideo has been violating copyright and hosting questionable porn for ages, hasn't it?

You''d think that YouTube would be used to getting their wrist slapped for bullshit DMCA claims by now? .

  • @ontariobuds

Thank, bro. I'll have to look it up. I haven't been online enough to notice much of anything going on.

  • @lesterclaypool1 the 19th of January, 2012. seized by the US Government

  • @ontariobuds

Has it? When did megavideo get seized?

  • @lesterclaypool1 yes but at that time you could have 5 plants in your garden so call me stupid I live there and now you allot of cafe owners still have there busniss on the black market everyone sales or plant seeds

  • @davidsanchezvasquez as you probably know megavideo has been seized

  • @AF3NI

The weed laws in Amsterdam are fucked. I know cafe owners that can't keep on top of business demands because of the way that the decriminalization is legislated, this leaves a huge gap in the market for illegal pot. Perhaps YOU are the stupid one for not taking advantage of this black market business opportunity?

Agreed, sad to think of a lovely girl like Luce stagnating in some UK kitchen 60 hours a week.

I love the UK. I love the people and I love the potential that still exists in this once great Empire but I hate that this potential is laid to waste by unreasonable taxation and unreasonable qualifications demands for even the simplest of jobs.

  • @SURAJDA619

I think that it would be a bit harder to launder the euros than the pounds in the UK. You figure that into the equation and taking the pounds, although a lesser amount, makes more sense.

  • A large company will be closing in a few months in a border community near where I live. I expect that drug busts at the border will go up in relation to this. Imagine the employment that could be created if we ended the prohibition related to this idiotic war on drugs that no one will ever win? Even figuring in the jobs that will be lost in incarcerating people who are suffering an illness that has branded as criminals the numbers will easily employ those people in this new form of commerce.
