New Sunkey lite 1.1b on D3-2

Thanks to sunkey team for the review sample :)

Edit some people asked me what songs are playing so:

There's 3 songs played , the first two are from the "Le Portrait de Petit Cossette" soundtrack:

Regret (Track no 05)
Sadness (Track no 04)

The last song was the intro from "Third Reich From The Sun" by Hanzel und Gretyl

Changing the DVD controller does not work. I have tried it (d2c) and the effect was the same. You obviously have not tried - just thought that since changing dvd boards works on dms,d2a,d2b,c,e drives it still works. Well NOT.

Ive swapped D3-2 with D2B,D2C and D2E motherboards all working 100% maybe your doing something wrong?

How is the machine acting after you swapped the board?

It sucks that D3-2 does not support DVD-R when chiped or softmoded. i understand that the wii drive and disc have something in common. if there was away to crack what makes game disc work than there would be a break through. Meaning no soft mods or chips just straight to the dvd drive with every backup written with the right code to force hack disc to work automatically on it's own.

Yes it works my friend. My test results are: I soldered a D2B board in place of the D3-2 and installed it on a Wii already softmodded and it played backups. Then I installed it in a virgin Wii along with a DriveKey modchip, and yes, it played backups. I also took the D2E DVD drive from the softmodded Wii, installed it in the Virgin Wii with Modchip, and it played backups if anyone is wondering about the whole DVD drive. It works if you don't want to use hard drive loader.

Wait. If I have a D3-2 drive, and i replace the dvd board wiht dms for example, will I be able to run backups?

I installed a sunkey pro on an older wii, It works well. However If you have the money to set up your wii with a Hard Drive That is the Best Way to go.... Hard Drives dont give read errors or waste DVD media... I have a 160 gb hard drive in my original x-box and that set up rocks.
