The high note at the end should be an A sharp / B flat (sorry, I am ignorent as the key of the aria). It is NOT a C. It is regrettable that Kollo omits it but it doesn't detract too much from the charm of his performance. The plodding tempo is the biggest drawback here. However, I love the mise en scène!

exactly ! i heard a bold tenor go up to d in the final (drole de facon) bu that was definitely a 'riff' of his own initiative :)

this aria doesnt have any top C in it! Unless you interpolate one as a variation at the very end but it is not written. The (evo)-HE! are just B flats

NO HIGH C like from Gedda and BJOERLING!!!! THE HIGH C is missing here at all. He is not a Master of the HIGH C at all!!!

How could anyone be comfortable in a toga/dress so short? Good singing - prefer the French i think, but still good. :)
