A few audio drops here and there, but more of the games worked fine. I'm almost 100% sure every issue was a hardware issue on my end and not something wrong with the capture device itself. I've seen plenty of people get good looking footage off this device with no problems.
Summary:
COD:BO - Smooth capture with only a few pauses in audio. Everything ran great while playing the game and in playback. The best capture of the bunch.
Portal 2 - Same as COD. Played fine, recorded near perfectly.
Dead Rising 2 (NOT SHOWN) - the issue with this recording was that I couldn't play the game, as the TV screen was distorted. I was using an off brand R/B/G Comp. cable, so that may be the issue. Also, there was a bit of audio distortion
SSF4 - Worst recording of the bunch, audio warping and video glitches everywhere. I have a feeling either my cables or this device have an issue with Capcom games....just speculation
inFamous 2 - Had more audio drops than I'd like, but overall not terrible and footage was completely usable, nearly as good as COD and Portal
FFXIII - Strangely, the capture only had problems with the soundtrack, and not the dialog. You can see that the only time the audio warps is when there's music playing, and the capture is nearly perfect when there's only speaking. Since most of FF has a soundtrack behind it, though, I see this being an issue for me.
Again, I'm almost certain all the glitches and warping is the fault of my setup and not this device. For $99US you can certainly do worse, and this seems like an affordable entry into game capture software. Just please make sure your processor is powerful enough to use it.
Hope you enjoy this and look forward to seeing more.
