Slim & Slam doing Flat Fleet Floogee backed by Chinatown, My Chinatown, a February 1938 Vocalion Records release. Flat Foot Floogee was one of the biggest hits of the duo made up of Slim Gaillard (guitar, piano) and Slam Stewart (bass) and a great example of Slim's hip language called Voot or Vout. This version of Chinatown, My Chinatown is one of the least politically correct and my favorite.
WOW! The way this version of Chinatown, My Chinatown abruptly slows down just after 4:50 is fantastic!!!
