"It was an old dream of mine to have The Alchemist as a graphic novel. This version exceeds my expectations and is a beautiful manifestation of what I originally imagined while crafting this story." —Paulo Coelho
Paulo Coelho's classic novel of self-discovery transcends the written word in this stunning new graphic novel adaptation. Artist Daniel Sampere's evocative illustration brings readers alongside Andalusian shepherd Santiago as he journeys from country to country learning the truths of life and experience.

Still just as brilliant as the first time I saw the book and your video. I really love Paulo's original story and wondered for weeks how my favorite character and favorite scene would be portrayed with images. A very magical surprise! Wouldn't change a thing. I wonder how did you make the pictures move? Love and Blessings to Paulo and whole team! Santiago looks so much like a nephew (is his graduation from film school today). Lots to smile about, thankyou!

@omojenny its easy for people to show hatred to those who express anger, but to be able to express love to those who express anger can be challenging. But when people show love to those who are in anger, like you have done, they can no longer be angry, its impossible. I guess the reason I did not like the book was because it was assinged to us in literature class.

Finally.... Maybe someday, when u go through a trial (maybe a deep, roller-coaster type of trial because those are the ones that make us seek answers to this thing called life), you'll pick the book up and read again, and then see the true meaning of its words........ AND I have looked at someone and fallen instantly in love :)
wish you all the best in life (i hope I didn't offend you in anyway)

2.) Most of what we seek that we think will make us happy are usually just illusions. However, in that seeking, we pass through seemingly unnecessary 'deserts' to learn vital things that we never would have learnt if things were smooth sailing. I hope you'll eventually get it, because the book contains so much wisdom.

1.) with so much love to you (this is my very first comment on youtube, and I've been on it virtually since it started). Please don't take this the wrong way.... I feel sympathy that you don't get it. Those that have been through trials in life (or are going through) will most likely be the ones to really see the magic in this book. It is about the trials of life, and overcoming obstacles, and that it is all about learning and growing along this journey called life.
