The Israeli army has entered Gaza from five different positions almost all around the Strip. Tanks were reported to be in battles around Gaza City and the northern towns of Beit Lahiya and Jabaliya.

Are you crazy? Fatah is a US/Israel puppet. They do nothing for the Palestinian people. Only whatever the US and Israel want. Why do you think the Palestinian people overwhelmingly chose Hamas over Fatah? Because Fatah are SUPER corrupt and give Palestinians nothing. Also check out the Natural Gas reserves off the coast of Gaza (worth BILLIONS of dollars.) - Israel wants that too and doesn't want Hamas or the Palestinian people to get anything from it.

Actually, it is quite strong. The reason that they voted for Hamas instead of Fatah, was at the time Fatah was quite corrupt, and Hamas was seen as a new, organized, militaristic party that could defend them. As you can see, Hamas has done a very shitty job of that, which is one good thing about Israel's invasion, it shows Palestinians what Hamas really is. Given another chance, Palestinians would probably voted for Fatah, providing Israel can promis that they won't halt democracy once again.

They can leave, however what is that going to accomplish... 6 months from now another war will erupt and 6 months after that another.... Israel by just trying to finish it once and for all and end the never ending cycle...

I agree Fatah is reasonable and would like to see them in power in Gaza... problem is Fatah's support from the palestinians is weakening.... lets hope this war changes things around...

Fatah doesn't want anything outside of the 1967 borders. With Fatah armed and in power, they can destroy Hamas.
