This predates Scriabin and Rachmaninov who were obviously infuenced by Grieg. But it might not predate Debussy who wrote his early piano pieces like the arabesques and the reverie before this piece was published in 1891.

Exquisite performance! It has an enchanting poetic tenderness with a driving sweep in the middle section that is rare in most performances. She has a way of turning even relatively simple pieces like this into unforgettable works of art.
