Tips on growing black hair long

Listed below are tips that have helped me RETAIN length and grow out my hair:

1. moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
2. Deep condition w/every wash or 1X a wk.
3. Take vitamins
4. Have a CONSISTENT hair regime
5. Find a couple of PROTECTIVE hairstyles that work for you
6. Try to limit use of heat
7. Always have a schedule for your hair

The back of my hair is really damaged from wearing weave what is the best advice you have for that ????

@Milleranna83 ..you might want to try moisturing that area more, if it's breaking off its really dry. I don't have any experience with weaves but i know that glue-ins are pretty bad for you...good luck

Get some msm powder off of ebay (NO PILLS) mix it with vitamin C or with juice every day and watch what will happen. Also monistat 7 cream in a moisturizer to the scalp will make it pour out of your scalp bu that is way messy.

I feel that bantu knots work well with shorter hair As my hair gets longer twists or braids work better for me.
