It's a bit slow and tedious but it gives you an idea of just how long it might take to load a container ship with cargo. This was an Evergreen ship that was docked across from us in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. Taken from aboard the Carnival Liberty on a cruise through the Carribean.

Nowdays is all about logistics, once you know what can happen while loading/ discharging is an easy and fun job :)

Man they work 24/7 but I've eat some delicius food on cargo ships.

What you are looking at is only a fraction of what goes into loading and unloading these ships. I work at a terminal in Washington state. With only 4 of those cranes in our terminal and a ship of the same size, it takes about 2 to 3 days from the time the first container is taken off, to the last one put on board. Not an easy job.
