  • If these terrorists are more dangerous than the japanese in WW2, Shouldn't these guys be living in bomb shelters? The Japanese, with a single attack, wiped out basically the entire pacific fleet. Had they not pulled back, Japan would have attacked the west coast of the U.S. and started a fight on the Americans' own soil.

Sorry, but the biggest threat the U.S. has ever faced is itself and it's HUGE ego.

  • hey...cali has a big enough prob with tourism to shut down one of our biggest tourist traps

although we do have the perfect place for the detainees

  • He should stick to turtle fences.

  • What an idiot.

  • Pete Hoekstra is a fucking traitor talking sedition.

  • What's the real issue? We are over there bombing and killing their people, just as though we had some right to do so. But we don't. They are fighting back, just as we'd be fighting back, using guerilla (terrorist) tactics if a foreign gov't had overrun our country and was killing New Yorkers or Kentuckians or Texans. This is the most hypocritical crock of lies ever told to the American people. These two-bit, conniving politicians are lying to us! This whole stinking thing is about the oil.

  • peter the stupid now thinks that the US can't contain a few prisoners in our supermax prisons. I think that is a slap in the face of the people who work in our penal system. after all the chest beating before of "bring it on", is he saying "don't bring it on". is he claiming now that we are too wimpy to hold these prisoners? peter doesn't think too much of the US does he? doesn't think much of our prisons or the judicial system. someone remind pete of the internment camps for the japanese ww2

  • Is Obama really a bad guy? Am I going to die in a pit with other Americans? Am I going to get my head chopped off with a dull knife?

Can someone please tell me what the hell is happening?

  • I think in a state with depression era unemployment, this is a brilliant idea. There is already a maximum security prison that can be used with some upgrades.Hoekstra is a perfect example of the republican party, screw the poor people, enable the wealthy.

  • It was not officially a state until the 1950s, therefore it wasn't "U.S. soil."

  • I like how SUSPECTED terrorists are more of a threat than convicted murderers, rapists, arsonists, whatever that we have insulated in our communities in the form of the prison system. The 'Argument from 9/11' also really pisses me off too. It's worse than most Appeals to Authority because it works on fear and guilt. 'agree with me or you dishonor their memory'. Tragedy as a political tool is always disgusting.
