It true. I'm learning Japanese for the first time... I'm 21, I have already missed the "learn new things while you're young" edge. I go to college at 5 in the morning, come home at 12 in the afternoon and study until 11 PM. I'm still a noob at reading and speaking Japanese but we can all agree its not easy to learn. But now, I'm reading and speaking simple sentences. Its amazing. I feel very proud of myself and anyone can do it, just depends on how bad you want it.

I want to be a college softball player so every Tuesday and Thursday I wake up at 4 to go train with my team before school for 3 months then in January we train for 2 hours everyday after school so hard most of us end up throwing up and then we go to tryouts and you know what we are the best damn team around
