Asus EEE PC playing HL2

Add the startup parameters in Steam by right clicking the game in your games list. Select properties and then click "Setlaunch Options" button. Add this set of parameters all on one line

If I recall properly (again I don't own one of these anymore) you will need a program to force the system speed to 900 Mhz. The EEE 701 originally was underclocked out of factory to 630 Mhz. Unless that has changed in a BIOS update? And this isn't really overclocking either as the chip in the unit is supposed to be 900 Mhz. The underclock was done to allow the battery to last longer. In my 701 heat never was an issue.

The beauty of HL2 is that you could probably get it to run on a ZX spectrum if configured properly.

HL2 plays on my ti4200

You know, to my knowledge, you could be able to run Half Life 2 on high settings very clearly if you enter a few codes in the console. I believe there is one to disable bullet casings flying about and landing on the ground, and so on so fourth.

I have Eee PC 701 8g and i try to launch HL2 and it launched! Sure with lags on opened spaces...bu ravenholm runs smooth...

I played at max settings :)

Why dont you do a lower resolution? Youd be able to see the screen and get less lag..
