John DeLorean was a legend RIP

@SpeedingStudent yeah, i'd feed a length into her.

The Corvette was cheaper. GM's slavish goal of building things "cheaply" took them from the largest industrial corporation in the world . . . wait for it . . . to bankruptcy. Mercedes on the other hand has always cared about quality. I guess the American model of building millions of crap products doesn't have the same prospects for longevity compared to the model that says build thousand of quality products. Being a 5th generation American that truth disgusts me.

Obviously JZD didn't finish these cars, I hate that. I love that he was trying to create a new car, shame he died before it became to light. I love the DeLorean, I'm currently saving to buy one, if it take me 5 years I will have one!!

@denverbroncosrock07 all that is true but the DeLorean was not affordable for everyone... it cost almost twice the price of a Corvette, so it wasn't a cheap machine...

@msteven515 He's dead, he was a visionary, he was set up by the government and you're an asshole. Think before you speak, it'll take you places.

@steamingpoopfart You do realize that today's DMC has absolutely NOTHING to the DMC that John DeLorean ran, right? It's not his fucking fault, the cars are rare enough to warrant the price. Pull your head out of your ass before you get TOO butthurt.
We need more people like him in the car business!

DMC was (and kind of still is in texas thought unrelated to the original DMC co) was one of those motor companies, that had their cars from a dream, a car made for people to love, to have fun in, not just to drive, unlike the majority of cars you see in production today, ths De Lorean was made so everyone could buy one, and have fun in one at the same time, shame alot of this doesn't happen anymore today... long live DMC!
