Its a swedish song from Eurovision song contest called "den vilda". This version is Icelandic sung by a Faroese girl and is more a Christmassong than the original. Still so beautiful and Icelandic is the language of the heart!

@hroskar If you know icelandic, please translate it! That would be wonderful.

Nice upload, wonderful song. But...
Why do you sometimes write a "oe" ligature instead of "ö", such as in "boernum"? This letter is not actually used in Icelandic and should just be "ö".
The English translation is, well, bad... was it made by Google translate? I don't mean to be offensive, just wanted to point this out. I might follow up later with suggestions of a better translation.

@hroskar Thanks for your feedback! I used an "oe" because that's what was written in the only set of lyrics that I could find. Google translate was one of several translators that I used - I have all of the translation sites that I used written down somewhere with my notes on this song. I intended to put in a disclaimer about the possibility of it being a poor translation, but I forgot to do that when I uploaded. Even tho I can't change the slides, I'd greatly appreciate some suggestions!
