2:59! Wow! I've never heard anyone else do that! And there's more after that one!

Wow! I was at this show but my memory was that it was New Year's Eve '72. Guess I was wrong about that. Yes, it was at 205 2nd Avenue (Fillmore East), however it was called The Village East after the Fillmore closed. There was a great short lived band that opened for Roy that night- Full Moon with Buzz Feiten on guitar. I remember that they smoked and Roy wasn't too shabby himself that night!

never thought i'd say this.. but the quick photo of the green-onions really set this video off lol.

Actually the Fillmore had closed and then reopened briefly with a new name (i can't remember it). I was at that show and it was the only time I was ever there.

Actually it wasn't gone. It reopened briefly and I was at that show!

Great cut . But the Fillmore East was long gone by 1973.

Cheers!!!
Roy always loved rippin this tune a new one.
I was actually fortunate enough to have been at the closing of the Fillmore East, 6-26-71, the late show. Albert King opened up followed by The J Geils Band (man they were smokin'!!!) But the coup de gra was the original Allman Bros who played till 7am!!!! What a night that was!!! Brother Duane and his band mates were just magical that night/morning! Unbelievable! After all these years and all the concerts I've been to since, nothing has or ever will top that night!

They did re-open the Fillmore East. I was at this show and remember there was no heat, it was like they opened up the place after 2 years and fogot to clean it up or turn the furnance on. The band were all playing with jackets and coats on.. Roy did seem to warm the place up that night.....
