Understanding the relationship between the height of your scope and barrel and the geometry will allow you to use your scope accurately at both close and long range.

  • the problem with laser boresighting is that it does'nt take recoil in consideration.

  • @scepticpatriot There's many factors it can't compensate for.

  • you do know that bullest don't travel in a strait line don't you?? adjusting your scope elevation with a laser is stupid (for long range purpose) cus at longer ranges the bullest drops and that is not a line, its a curved trajectory. so you'll have to sight-in the scope by aim to the bullets POI.

  • @bazengao I believe I illustrated the fact that bullets don't fly in a straight line.

  • Is there a boresight available for a 7.62x39 round? ive looked everywhere and I cant seem to find any

  • @DjIsotope This type should work for you. It has adaptors that go from .22 cal all the way up to .50 cal. Are you talking about the laser boresight that is an actual case with a laser in it?

  • The script went so fast I had to pause it several times to grasp the meaning.

  • Backwards. When you adjust the elevation or windage, your moving the cross hairs in line to the POI. Lets say you need to come up in elevation, you adjust elevation turret on scope "up" (Actuality, reticle its coming down) which in turn is causing you to raise your barrel to the POI of your scope. (Also knowin as trajectory) You are showing your lines of the scope moving and the barrel line is stationary. Those two should be reversed for proper clarification.

  • one of the best and clear videos ive ever watched.... thanx

  • @taofledermaus sorry for my english :)

  • @taofledermausI bought one (laserlite) for an airgun, and it didn't help me at first because I didn't think abought the recoil but after zeroing the scope without the laser, I could see ( with the laser ) exactly how I "respond" to the recoil (pellet goes up to the right) and this is interesting. Although if I know exactly where the pellet goes compared to de direction of the barrel I can straiteway adjust the scope a little bit up to the right of the laser dot. So I think the laser is practical

  • 0:01 skip ads... thumbs up!

  • So if I intend to shoot from 50-100 yards, should I sight my scope in at 75 yards?
