Steven Harper appears to have changed his opinion on the idea of a coalition government taking over, now that he is the one who would be ousted.

  • Well the majority of Canadians do not support Harper, and are sick of watching him provide tax breaks for the rich and play political games in attempt to bankrupt the opposing parties. A coalition represents the interests of the majority, even if some of that majority lives in Quebec.

  • Maybe if you took Steven Harper's cock out of your mouth long enough to put something else into your head besides a bunch of old men spewing their fearful image of an evolving society, you'd recognize that the reasoning behind your precious leader's agenda was nothing more that gain a stonger political position. Cutting off government subsities to parties immidiately after an election that drained their resources? He was taunting the opposition to form a coalition. You ignorant fuck.

  • The Bloc is not offically part of the coalition, thus having to pass anything you must have the agreement of them, and they can back out at any time, were with the other 2 partys everthing dion would have wanted the ndp would have had to vote in favor for it, weather they aproved of it or not, unlike the bloc.

  • The Bloc has agreed to allow the coalition to operate for 18 months. They do not have any members in the coalition cabinet. As far as the NDP having to vote with the Liberals, it sounds like you have a very misconstrued concept of a coalition government. Everyone has to agree, much like a minority government, in order for something to pass. A coalition means collaboration to find solutions that work for everyone. Stop this unnecessary Bloc hysteria.
