Lynn Reichle and her second grade students go on a writing adventure called Writers' Workshop.

For more information about teaching kids to read and helping those who struggle, visit www.readingrockets.org. Reading Rockets is a national education service of public television station WETA. Funding is provided by a grant from the U.S.

  • Writer's workshop makes so much sense! Sometimes writing is the only time during the day when our students can express themselves in a way that makes the most sense to them.

    Our future leaders are in that classroom. I'm glad they are getting such solid writing instruction.

  • This program uses a writing workshops. They teach kids the steps of writing and gets the students excited about learning. They have proved that if you write well, then you will read well.
