@elkeism I know what a hypothesis is.
If the search isn't as thorough then my analogy doesn't apply to it.
Most biblical scholars don't believe there were slaves in Egypt at this time, however there was a forced labor group who got paid very well and respected. The Hebrews likely came to Egypt because of drought, and worked as Habiru mercenary soldiers. And often mercenaries will do any work they can, such as labor. Look up Bible battles on you tube.

@Nervousification to quote you "evidence against the hypothesis" A hypothesis is not fact!
Furthermore, "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence". comes straight out of an astrophysics textbook.. You're analogy may be flawed: what if your search isn't as thorough as you assume?
And,"believing" something is lost is not fact.The land-bridge however, IS fact-How do you explain that away? Enlighten me!-BTW WHERE WERE the hebrews if not in egypt?

@elkeism Actually this is false. If you look for evidence, and there is none where your hypothesis predicts there would be some, that is evidence against the hypothesis. Imagine you looking for something you believe is lost in your room. The more thoroughly you search your room without finding it, the more reason you have to believe it is not in your room.

Any scientist will tell you: absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
The land-bridge does it for me.

@nosaj2001; I don`t care if it happened or not. It has zero importance for my day to day life.
