Paul puts a Stevie Wonder/James Taylor twist on this.

The original 1970 version of "The Long and Winding Road" was already one of my favorites, but when I heard the 1984 version with the sax intro and the celestial background voices I was stunned "Is it possible to improve a masterpiece? ....Sir Paul did it.

love this version,my all time favourite McCartney song
this is my favourite arrangement of this classic written by Paul McCartney for the Beatles. I bought this album and listened to it so much. I come from Liverpool and I am so proud of the legacy that the Beatles have left this city with...proud of the history and the hard work that it is obvious each Beatle put into his role in the Beatles. It takes a degree of luck to be discovered by the "right" manager and everything but ultimately they were so lucky to work with George Martin-immense skill

I listen to this song every time I go for an evening walk...It really matches the empty streets.
