The announcers were way too harsh on their judgement of this fight. The announcers (especially Larry) expect every fight to be a knockdown, drag-out brawl all the time with both fighters on the brink of death and overlook the beauty of what they were watching.This was a terrific matchup of Roy's speed & accuracy vs the technical prowess of Hopkins. This was a fascinating fight to watch......especially in hindsight.

Thats true of course. My english is not that great, to me it just sounded like he wanted to say Jones could not even reach Sugar in any period of Jones career, while i think it was even at this early point of Jones career recognizable that he could be one of the all time greats.

@Stud328 Lol, it may have been that Jones was in his first step up fight, and it was for a vacant title... it's hard to say that a dude with less than 30 fights is on the level of a Sugar Ray.
