Furis- One Day

Furis, aka Jonathan Chung, is a Korean-American rapper and producer. He created his first EP in 2003 entitled Furistrated at the age of 16 and sold over 400 copies alone in high schools. In 2005, he released an album with producer Mastermind entitled Daily Routine. From the help of a local show promoter Kublai Kwon, he started getting experience performing at the age of 16 doing local shows in Koreatown, which includes the Asian Hip Hop Summit, Double Standard, and Ghetto Musik. Inspired by a friend and local artist Chosen One, he saved up and went out to buy a used beat machine and started producing. Today, he even built his own home studio to extend his musical horizons. Influenced by the soulful-type sound and the 90s Boom Bap era, in this generation where most artists are following the mainstream, Furis makes music from his heart and writes lyrics that people can relate to.
