  • PRICE??? This project was intended to fill a huge void in price with vehicle mount blowers. Uni-Mogs are awesome...and awesomely expensive.

  • Nice rig! I'd bet if you could gear the blower down about 30% (smaller pulley on engine or bigger on blower) it would not boug down as mutch

and would still throw snow plenty

    far .

  • Thanks. The blower motor bogged down in deeper snow with a hard, frozen base. That was a field we were testing the unit on uneven terrain. We wanted to test it in more extreme conditions than just normal storm clean-up.

  • POWER POWER

  • Actually isn't that a 4x4 truck unit? It should have 4 wheel high and low range. I would say using low range would help eliminate the bog down motor. It would also make sure the unit lasted longer as well as the trans in the truck.

  • kool video

  • Yea, The Truck just needs Low Range, a lot a people don't really know what low range is for, but this one of those reasons, to creep along at the rate the blower needs to keep it clearing itself regardless of how deep or dense.

  • loving that light bar

  • You need the 31hp briggs vangaurd............that kohler would make a nice paperweight in your office im sure.

  • if your unimog has a lower gear range like 4x4 low I would use that in the deeper snow so you wouldn't have to worry about burning out your clutch.

  • My Grandma's got some good teeth she uses for meat.

  • I agree with jeb8n. Your front augers are going to fast. Gear it down like he says and you'll blow mucho snow!! Good idea though. I always thought they could build one for modern pick-ups.
