My parents had this record, and I remember we use to play it all the time. My Dad played accordion. I grew up on this kind of music, and still love it. Thanks for putting this on.

This is very difficult to listen to. My mother just passed away last month and my dad who died in '98, used to play this all the time with his brothers when we'd get together for the holidays.No one is left now and all I have are my memories.

Thank you so much. Blue Skirt Waltz was played at my wedding 27 years ago by a real live band that was the RIGHT way to have a wedding. It was traditional Slovenian all the way. Blue Skirt Waltz has been going through my mind lately -- it's great to hear it by the King of Polkas - over and over again!!

I have/had a 33 1/3 album of his with this particular rendition on it. SUCH memories. I played this song to death in the basement. I was ten. God, I'll get melancholy if I listen to much of this, but thank you, thank you!

Nice one. Frankie Yankovic was a frequent visitor to our area(Copper Country in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan). I danced to his band on a number of occasions. The Blue Skirt Waltz was so popular here it is still called the Copper Country Anthem. It is a tradition for the Michigan Tech pep band to play it at every home hockey game while members of the crowd interlock arms and sway to its strains. Naturally, I also liked the other 2 FYs you put up. If you have more, please!
