I just got my Dell Mini 10v born with Win 7 Starter. It's quite slow to work in - can someone tell me if installing Ubuntu or OS X makes it faster? And if so which one of those is fastest? THANKS!!

Well, 7 runs pretty smoothly to begin with, at least in my opinion. Both Ubuntu and OS X run pretty well too. Just remember you're not dealing with a powerhouse of a computer. There will, unfortunately, be slowdowns. And, it also depends really on what you're trying to do. The RAM was a big deal for me, not so much because it would make it faster, but because it was easier to have more applications running, which I frequently have a lot of open.

i have windwos 7 ultimate w/dual boot UNR on it already. do i ahve to do clean install from osX first?

and i cant see or tell waht your doing in the disk partition in osX

Most likely you would. I know I have always done that when doing a triple boot, but then again, to me it's just easier.

Please help, whenver i try to boot my mini 10v with a flashdrive containing any kind of program, it freezes on the Dell, blue loading bar screen with F2 and F10 options. I tried it on my friend's computer too, and it did the same thing. How do I fix this?

If Windows and Ubuntu already installed, do this

1. Back up files from Ubuntu HD

2. Remove Partition for Ubuntu HD

3. Make a new partition for OSX

4. Install OS X

4. Make another partition for Ubuntu

4. Install Ubuntu to get GRUB

If Windows is Installed first, do this 1. Partition your Hard disk using EASEUS Partition Master Home (its free!) 2. Install OS X 3. Install Ubuntu to get GRUB Bootloader If Ubuntu is installed first, do this 1. Back up your data to external device(s) 2. Format Hard Drive 3. Install OSX 4. Partition Hard Drive with OSX's feature Disk Utility 5. Install Windows 6. Partiton Hard Disk again with EASEUS (another partition is for Ubuntu) 7. Reinstall Ubuntu to get GRUB bootloader

What I want to know is how you got the mac os x to boot so easy on to the netbook cause I have the same netbook and I cannot get mac to ever boot can you please give me instructions on how to do that.

great vids! you mention that the 10v was made available with 2 different screen resolutions... i might be buying one used, if the seller is unaware, how could i make sure i'm getting the 1024x600? were the newer resolution screens made after a certain date?
