Sorry Matt....after watching the video again it looks like a "brain fart" moment! Nothing more! I understand what your trying to say about the bigger aircraft having different "pitch" sensitivity. I routinely fly at our club A DW Foamy 48' Yak , 3DHS 48'SHP , 78" EF Extra, EF 50cc Edge, and a 110" EF Yak all in the same day! They all rotate and behave differently in pattern and 3D. Don't want to piss u off....just calling the video as I see it!. I've had a few dumb shit moments...we all have.
I'll I am saying is some other of my planes would have pitched right into a harrier from that altitude after that dive. I had a brain fart (or dumb thumbs if you want to call it that) forgetting that the EF extra needs a lot more throttle to pitch the nose up into a harrier. It was just me forgetting which plane I was flying. But if you can't tell the difference in pitch behavior between your 71" slick and your EF Extra, then I question your judgement. On a side note, you have some nice videos.

Hi Matt,
I just upgraded to this 78' EF Extra from the 71" 3DHS Slick. I had a lot more flights on the Slick before I sold it then I do the EF Extra. I really don't have any idea what your talking about with the airflow over the tail comment. I know you said you dumb thumbed it...but it looks like you slipped and just pushed the plane in! IMHO. BTW...nice flying skills!

The 70" slick (and 71" slick for that matter) is much more pitch sensitive then the longer 78" EF extra. That's great for 3D, not so great for precision. So dive both planes and see how much throttle you need to apply to get the nose to pitch up into a high alpha harrier. If both planes are suitable overpowered, the slick will do it in about 1/4 throttle and the EF extra will need half throttle or maybe even more to pitch up into the harrier.

How do you think an eflite power 160 will work?? I want to build this plane...leaning more towards electric than a 30cc. How do you like it ??

Not sure about that Power 160. Just go by what EF recommends. Hackers and Scorpions tend to have the best power out there. The Scorpion 5030 F3A motor has a ton of power on this plane. Just get 2 5s 4000 or 5000mah packs (for 10S) and you will be good to go. If you get the gas version of the extra, the DLE 30 is pretty decent as well.

Scorpion 5030 F3A motor with the Hacker cage mount. It's a awesome, smooth motor with tons of power, just wish it could be rear mounted. Running it with a 21x10 xoar prop.
