Fifth in a series of poetry films on San Francisco, shot at dusk from Twin Peaks. It features music from the film "San Francisco" as recorded by Jeannette McDonald, and jazz musicians Stan Getz and Miles Davis. The film is an "exposure test" during the best light of the day (late afternoon, sunset, and dusk) from one of the most magnificent spots in the City by the Bay.

  • If i live there or near there where can i find the best view by peering out my window?

  • @TheRocketExectutives - Probably on Twin Peaks, there are homes and apartments on this hill. Facing north or west would give you the best views - west is the GG Bridge, north from Twin Peaks is the city landscape. Also, east would give you a view of the Bay Bridge and the Bay.

  • nice video. Could do without the sound.. music lvs lots to be desired.

  • @davidnhvtme - Thanks for your comment, David. But I was afraid that at 9 minutes long, it would be insufferable to watch all the panning without music or ambient sound, which consisted primarily of the usual heavy winds on Twin Peaks buffeting the external mic and people talking in the background! Thanks for watching.

  • Where did you get this great music?

  • Stan Getz plays the saxophone.

  • Judy Garland sang this the best, because she sang it sending-up THIS version. . Judy sings: I never will forget (then a very long forgetful pause, while she thinks of the name) Janette Mc Donald. . ''Just to sync (Judy says sync)( Jannette Mc Donald was lip syncing) ... Just to sync of her it gives my heart a pang (Judy sings: pain). . It is hearable, elsewhere on You-Tube. . . Cheers. from, del-boy.
  • i envy you man.i hope to visit that city one day and take shots

  • @Orishanla thanks

  • Here and there: soundtrack from the film "San Francisco" with Jeanette McDonald (singing) and Clark Gable; and two jazz instrumentals, one by Stan Getz, the other by Miles Davis. I love the track by Miles Davis playing the jazz trumpet. Both of these jazz artists were legendary, like San Francisco. :-) .In the beginning of the "San Francisco" track, you can hear overlapping dialogue by Clark Gable, and also later about 1:05.
