and they not only can scan all day but they can email them, fax them, and print all day at the same time...and they weigh like a thousand times more with more materials.
Still...these dedicated scanners are really nice for what they're intended for.

I agree with Goldenheart...especially now that Ricoh and Bowe and Howell are out of the picture. Sometimes it's a little burdensome getting support on older models though.
As far as the price tags on some of the scanners...it's a little ridiculous...$70,000; $80,000 on up...even with the niche' capabilities of a dedicated scanner there's no justifying the price tags.
In comparison, you can get an over 100 page per minute network printer/copier/scanner for $30/40/50 thousand bucks.

KODAK & FUJITSU are only good scanner, my experience

Two-sided - Also called Duplex. Yes, with no change in speed. 90 pages per minute, or 180 images per minute in duplex mode.
Network Folder - Yes, as long as the host computer can see the network folder. The fi-5900C is not a "network scanner" adn requires a computer host. The fi-6010N is a true network scanner that scans to a network folder.
Let me know if you have any other questions about these scanners!
