  • If you wanted to do that, you would look at how the grip safety is a ledge under the sear and go from there to make it not a ledge that catches under the sear.

  • Yes, the springs will come out and you need to remove the sear to get to the safety.

  • Yes, but if you just remove the sear, you can clean the safety.

  • Damn this grip safety spring is a pain in the ass. I have been trying for the last half hour. doing it exactly like you are in the vid. but the safety itself wont go into the frame with out dislodging the spring. you put it in effortlessly. i dont know what it wrong.

  • @stvebnny4

Practice helps. You can use the shaft of a Q-Tip trimmed to the width of the safety to retain the spring and use it as a slave pin if you need a "third hand."

  • i was trying to do it with the sear in.

I took it out. went right in... after a little fiddling around.

first time taking it completly down like that. your vid helped alot dude.

    went back together just fine.

i thought it was going to be complicated. but it was really simple if you just look at it and see how it is supposed to work thanks agian bro!

Ah, with the sear in, it would be a bit tricky.

    Safe shooting!

  • Thanks guys! My next upgrade/mod will be from your shop!

  • Excellent information.

  • @ArmedCivilian556 I don't have a video since I still have mine but by looking at it, it works by solely blocking the sear from moving.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR Do you have a video showing this? Will that interfere with the gun's overall performance?

  • @ArmedCivilian556 File the top of it off where it blocks the sear.

  • If I wanted to disable the grip safety, so that I did not have to ensure the grip safety was depressed to fire the gun, how would I do this?

  • Ok! thanks! Your video's are a great help! keep it up! :)

  • remove the sear pin for the safety you mean? Do I have to worry about the spring coming out?
